FAQ
Answers to the questions we hear most often at the helium balloon bar.
How much do helium-filled latex balloons cost?
Our 12-inch latex balloons are $2.50 each, which includes helium and High-Float treatment for longer float time.
What is High-Float?
High-Float is a special liquid treatment applied inside latex balloons before they are filled with helium. It helps slow the escape of helium, allowing balloons to stay afloat significantly longer than untreated latex balloons.
How long will helium latex balloons last?
Our 12-inch latex balloons are treated with High-Float and can typically float for several days, depending on temperature, humidity, and handling.
Without High-Float, latex balloons generally float for only 8–12 hours.
Do you use High-Float on foil or mylar balloons?
No. High-Float is designed specifically for latex balloons and is not used on foil or mylar balloons.
Foil and mylar balloons naturally retain helium much longer than latex balloons and often stay inflated for several days or even weeks.
How much do helium-filled foil or mylar balloons cost?
Pricing depends on the size and type of balloon.
- Small foil balloons: starting at $3.00 each
- Larger foil balloons: up to $8.00 each

Can I bring in my own balloons to be filled with helium?
Yes — we are happy to fill customer-supplied balloons with helium.
However, because we cannot verify the quality, age, storage conditions, or manufacturer of outside balloons, we do not guarantee customer-supplied balloons against popping, leaking, or failure to float.
Will you replace balloons that pop after leaving the store?
We guarantee balloons while they are being inflated by our staff. Once balloons leave our possession, we cannot guarantee their performance due to factors such as weather, transportation, handling, sharp objects, pets, and environmental conditions.
Why do balloons sometimes shrink or deflate?
Temperature changes can affect balloon appearance.
- Cold temperatures may cause balloons to temporarily shrink.
- Warm temperatures typically allow balloons to expand back to normal size.
- Excessive heat can cause balloons to expand and potentially pop.
How should I transport helium balloons?
For best results:
- Transport balloons inside a clean vehicle.
- Avoid placing balloons near sharp objects.
- Keep balloons away from extreme heat or direct sunlight.
- Do not leave balloons unattended in a hot vehicle.
How far in advance should I order helium balloons?
We recommend placing orders at least 24–48 hours in advance for larger quantities or specialty balloons. Same-day service may be available depending on inventory and scheduling.
